신앙의 분량

"네 신앙의 분량이 너를 구원할 것이 아니다. 한 방울의 물도 온 대양과 마찬가지로 참된 물이다. 그와 같이 작은 신앙도 가장 큰 신앙과 마찬가지로 참된 신앙이다. 신앙의 양이 너를 구원하는 것이 아니라 신앙으로 붙잡는 보혈이 너를 구원하는 것이다. 아이의 약한 손도 숟가락을 입에 넣어 식사하기를 어른의 강한 팔이 하는 것과 같이 한다. 그와 같이 네가 그리스도를 매우 약하게 붙잡을지라도 그는 너를 망하게 하지 않으실 것이다."

"It is no the quantity of thy faith that shall save thee. A drop of water as true water as the whole ocean. So a little faith is as true faith as the greatest. It is not the measure of thy faith that saves thee, - It is the blood that it grips to that saves thee. The weak hand of the child, that leads the spoon to the mouth, will feed as well as the strong arm of a man; for it is not the had that feeds, but the meat. So, if thou canst grip Christ ever so weakly, he will not let thee perish."
